A. The therapist will discuss your reasons for being referred to rehabilitation. The therapist may observe your child in play or perform specific tests, or both. The results of this evaluation will be reviewed with you. Goals and a treatment plan to help your child reach those goals will be developed based on your concerns as well as the therapist’s evaluation. Parent participation is critical at the evaluation. Because you may be actively involved in the evaluation, we recommend you and your child attend the session alone. Another person should care for siblings. The evaluation should take about 60-90 minutes.
